Normally this sort of thing doesn’t happen without photoshop. I’m impressed!
I’ve never been a huge fan of this comic, but they consistently create material that is at least a little thought provoking so I eventually come back to check out whats new.
I think they’ve really hit the nail on the head with this one.
For this project I have to take a series of photographs that will be used as an alternate cover for Modest Mouse’s album We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank.
I found out that it was originally supposed to be a concept album about a boat crew that dies in every song. Here is my first attempt at what illustrating what a ship in a bottle might look like if all the sailors were dead.
Best logo ever. Best advertisement ever. I’d buy it and I don’t even know if its real.

DEAD ON ARRIVAL: PHOTO FINISH
Halloween 2009: Dead on Arrival bike race put cyclists through hell and back, and at the very end of the race I got to stick them in front of my camera. Here are the results.
